It's exciting to feel like a winery owner and produce your own wine. Some purchases or investments in wineries made in the past were made from the emotion, guided by the illusion of produce your own wine. But time has shown that it is essential to analyse, from the rationality of a rigorous economic analysis, the expected profitability with a previously defined business plan.

It is true that the life of companies, like that of people, is not eternal and that sometimes the finitude of people, linked to the lack of family continuity in the business, can be natural reasons for deciding to sell the family winery. When making this decision, especially when it comes to small wineries, it is especially important to take a discreet approach to the market.

It is a matter of the buyer really paying the value that the winery has, as long as it brings him that profit. Otherwise, our job is to find another buyer.
